Sun Araw’s Cameron Stallones and M. Geddes Gendras are Duppy Guns Productions, a reggae riddim magic covent the two formed on the side while recording a collab with Roots gods, The Congos in Jamaica. This track with DAYONE, a Portmore local singer and fisherman, marks their first 12” DPY001. Listening to “Multiply” is no doubt the closest you’ll ever get knowing what being a bong feels like.

The video, too, is right up our alley—mixing warm 16mm(esque?) old school reel into the A.D.H.D. internet surrealism of Astral Projects’ desktop and browsing history. (We want to browse whatever’s in that “Bubbling” folder in the top left btw).

Half of Astral Projects, ya’ll should know, is none other than our good friend Tony Lowe (AKA Far Eye apparently), who we interviewed a little while back about his mind-melting Carnival documentary, Below the Brain. It wasn’t until just now that I pieced together that the “reggae project” he was obsessively working on this summer while I stonily ranted over his shoulder about footwork tracks and cultivating tumblr personas was ICON EYE, his new upcoming vid for RVNG’s FRKWYS series documenting all these guys’ experiences in Portmore w/ The Congos.

Ok… whew. Full circle. Enjoy the video.
