Imagine Rotterdam’s signature hardcore sound (frenetic, distorted kick drums, aggressive synths, samples from violent cult films) filtered through hip-centric Reggaeton swagger with layers of Merengue & Bachata guitars and shakers and all that shit. You might call it moombahton but I’d rather not because Munchi stands apart from the rest of what has become a white-washed vanilla bro-fest. Did I say that?
